$698,000 FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant

Big News for the St Albans Fire Department!

Be on the lookout for Deputy Chief Doughty of the St. Albans Fire Department, who was interviewed today regarding the department’s acceptance of an incredible $698,000 FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG)!

This grant represents a tremendous investment in the safety of our firefighters and the St. Albans community. With two apparatuses reaching the end of their recommended service life under applicable NFPA standards, this funding will allow the department to retire those aging apparatuses and modernize the fleet with the addition of one new apparatus.

This is an outstanding opportunity for the St. Albans Fire Department, and we are incredibly excited about what this means for the future of our department and the community we proudly serve!
