Town Landing

The Town Manager and Deputy Chief Cooper spent the morning cleaning the boat landing as there was large amounts of gravel, trash, weeds, and debris at the landing. We can’t stress enough how important it is for individuals to take their trash and/or dog feces with them when packing up from a beautiful day on the lake. The state regulates what can and can’t be at the landing and unfortunately a trash can is one of those items that can’t be at the landing. The space is considered a “carry in and carry out” location. The town would greatly appreciate it if people would grab trash (we understand not wanting to pick up other animals’ feces) if they saw it lying about even if it’s not their trash to ensure the area remains clean. If you are unwilling or unable, please contact the Town Office so someone can go down to retrieve the trash.
