TRUCK DRIVER/LABORER
The Town of St Albans is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Public Works Employee Truck Driver/Laborer. The Public Works Dept. consists of a full-time Road Commissioner and two full-time truck drivers/laborers. The Dept. is responsible for plowing 57 miles of St Albans roads. Example of duties: Operate light to heavy trucks; operate trucks and sanders for plowing, sanding, and snow removal; operate equipment such as loader backhoe and grader; assist in general repair and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment; maintenance work with culverts, patching and building roads and other general duties as required. Applicant must possess, at least, a valid Class B State of Maine motor vehicle operator’s license, with appropriate endorsements and a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience driving plow truck with wing attachment.
